Tips for Success in the Entertainment Industry

Tip #10 - Get out of the house

Many of you like to romanticize the fact that you stay home and work on your art while your friends are out living life. You’re sacrificing the pleasures of existence on this planet for the ultimate goal of world dominance when you will then reap the earth for all it contains. I have news for you. You are doing yourself a great disservice and in fact stunting your potential.

The best way to be inspired and unlock the wonders of your creative subconscious is by getting out of the house and experiencing life’s treasures rather than reading about them as the Facebook status updates of people you will probably never meet or want to. Do not simply call up friends to meet for coffee down the street though. That’s far to mundane for someone destined for greatness. Instead, think about all of the things artists write about, sing about and portray on stages and screens. Make a list and make it your mission to experience these things first hand. Not only will you have more fodder to pull from, you’ll also be on your way to a much more interesting E! True Hollywood story.

This should help you get started:

- Unbearable heartache. Hurt something you love dearly and let the pain sink in       deep.

- Cheat, cheat, cheat. Especially if you’re writing country music.

- Drink, drink, drink. Especially if you’re writing country music.

- Heroin. Do lots and lots of heroin. Be careful not to get addicted though.

- Join a gang, sell drugs, turn tricks, end up in prison. In that order.
